Dippin’ Dots – Lake Compounce

With a few stands around the park, Dippin’ Dots is Lake Compounce’s official frozen treat of choice. There are a few flavor options provided, sometimes with long lines attached.

I personally love Dippin’ Dots, and have loved them since I was a kid. They’re a wonderful lovechild between Italian ice, ice cream and liquid nitrogen. They do melt fast, but they’re a wonderful treat on a hot summer day.

Where to find Dippin’ Dots?

There is a permanent building beside the Toy Store (which doubles as the exit) and across from The Potato Patch.

By the Rev-O-Lution ride, the Snack stand is in front, which is on the main pathway to the right of the park entrance. That stand has a small array of traditional theme park fare, too.

The other two are in the Crocodile Cove waterpark section with the closest near to The Croc Pot which is on the left side of the park’s entrance off that main pathway.

The other is deep within the waterpark, and a little difficult to explain where to find. You’ll have to pass by Storm Surge and cross over the railroad tracks. This is where you’ll also find Lakeside Cafe. I consider these both to be hidden gems, considering a lot of people don’t meander into this section of the park.

This Dippin’ Dots also has a Tiki Bar attached to it, which is great for those over here who don’t want to walk all the way to the Beachfront Bar by the lazy river.
