Red Schooner

OK, so, I had no idea what a “schooner” was when I heard that a restaurant was called Red Schooner. So, I looked it up like the scholarly (lol) person that I am.

A schooner is a two+ mast sailboat, with a mast being those fabric triangles that help move the boat along with the wind. Funny enough it can also mean a tall beer glass, but in this case because of the look of the building and because it’s in a waterpark, I’m very sure that they’re referring to the sailboat.

This was a missed opportunity for Six Flags to be adventurous with the food here (not even really). Things like Fish and Chips and corn on the cob could be a welcome addition, however, you can only find chicken tenders and hot dogs at this location.

Where to find Red Schooner?

Found at the far end of Hurricane Harbor south (past Commotion Ocean wave pool), you’ll find this eatery next to one of two Chop Six‘s in the park and around the corner from the Tornado water raft ride.
