Throughout August and September, we’ve been busy behind the scenes making Theme Park Bites easier to use, more helpful, and a little more fun. While we had a few hiccups here and there, we got a lot done. The additions have been a long time coming, but we’re enthused to be making these changes.
Quick changes overview: an interactive events and festivals calendar, homepage upgraded, and restaurant pages updated.
Here’s what’s new:
Interactive Events Calendar
Our events and festivals page now has a monthly-updated calendar you can browse at a glance. You can even save events straight to your Apple Calendar. Bonus: if an event has discounted tickets through Undercover Tourist, you’ll find a direct link under “More Information.”
The page includes a calendar with options like monthly, weekly, daily, list, and grid, standout festivals, the major festival guides, and some of our favorite park-specific picks. We’re excited to work on a new foodie spotlight in the coming months, so stay tuned.
Please note the calendar offers events 2-3 months ahead of schedule at this time. It currently tops out at the beginning of November 2025 (the end of the Halloween season), so please hold tight for Holiday activities to be added.
Homepage Upgrade
The homepage got a bit of an upgrade, too! Not only is there a new image to focus more on the food aspect of the website, but the new homepage got a slight link upgrade that now highlights “Guides” instead of just “Blog”, so you can explore more of the TPB world without digging.
We noticed that everyone shied away from that link, so we wanted to be clear that this where you can find all the guides and tips you might be looking for.

Restaurant Updates
Our biggest changes are here (and we’re excited for you to explore them!). From breadcrumbs to take you to new pages easily to filters, we’ve been working on changing the very heartbeat of TPB one page at a time:
- On the main restaurants page, you’ll find new content filters. Browse restaurants by state, park brand/operator, park type, or even experience/vibe. There’s also a seasonal spotlight with favorite parks of the season and direct links to available corporate hubs.
- On park pages, filters now let you sort by type of food, cuisine, dining style, price range, dietary/special options, atmosphere, and even “obsession” picks. Some of the filters are currently a work-in-progress, so hold tight as we continue to update.
- On individual restaurant pages, aside from finding menu and prices, you’ll now notice “Quick Bites” which includes details on budget, mobile order, indoor seating, kid-friendliness, and allergy/dietary info. As we move into updating and Theme Park Bites to truly help families, photos, our ratings and our top foodie picks will be added as time allows.
- For budget rating, we have a tiered system as follows:
- Affordable ($) = $15 and under per person
- Moderate ($$) = $30 and under per person
- Expensive ($$$) = $100 and under per person
- Premiere ($$$$) = Over $100 per person
- For budget rating, we have a tiered system as follows:
- The main restaurants page also shows which parks are coming soon, and park/restaurant pages themselves are being updated with location details, kid-friendliness, and allergy info (with more improvements still on the way).
New Team Member
Over time you might notice a new presence and his name is Samuel (say hi, everyone!). He comes in with a new, fresh perspective on all things finance, and we’re excited to have him on board. Keep your eyes peeled for content from him as we continue to expand.
Of course, that isn’t all. Let’s chat about what’s in the pipeline:
Work in Progress
In addition to the restaurant pages being updated, six parks are currently in the visual update pipeline: SeaWorld Orlando, The Lost Island, Six Flags America, Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags New England, and Splish Splash.
Knoebels, Knott’s Berry Farm, Island H2O Water Park and Lake Compounce are also being updated beyond their main pages. So hold tight.
And this is just the start – more filters, more parks, and more tools are in the works. We hope that you find everything you want and need here at Theme Park Bites.
